FOUNDATION PROGRAMME (1 Year)


FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

INTRODUCTION
The Foundation Programme is a complete pre-university academic programme that prepares students for admission into degree programmes.

Objective
To provide students with the pre-requisite qualification to enroll into UTP degree programmes.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
FOUNDATION (ENGINEERING) FOUNDATION (TECHNOLOGY)
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
or its equivalent
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
or its equivalent
Applicants must obtain at least a grade of 4B in 5 subjects including English, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Candidates must obtain at least a grade of 6C in Bahasa Melayu. The total units of these subjects, not including Bahasa Melayu, must not be more than 18 units.
Applicants must obtain at least a grade of 4B in English, Mathematics and 3 other subjects. Candidates must obtain at least a grade of 6C in Bahasa Melayu. The total units of these subjects, not including Bahasa Melayu, must not be more than 18 units.

PASSING REQUIREMENTS



A student must PASS all the required courses and obtain a minimum of 42 credits hours and a CGPA of at least 2.00 within the stipulated time.



ADMISSION TO DEGREE PROGRAMME


On passing the respective Foundation Programme, students will be eligible to enroll in the following degree programmes:
