FOUNDATION PROGRAMME
INTRODUCTION The Foundation Programme is a complete pre-university academic programme that prepares students for admission into degree programmes. Objective To provide students with the pre-requisite qualification to enroll into UTP degree programmes.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
FOUNDATION (ENGINEERING)			FOUNDATION (TECHNOLOGY)
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent			Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent
•	Applicants must obtain at least a grade of 4B in 5 subjects including English, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Candidates must obtain at least a grade of 6C in Bahasa Melayu. The total units of these subjects, not including Bahasa Melayu, must not be more than 18 units.		•	Applicants must obtain at least a grade of 4B in English, Mathematics and 3 other subjects. Candidates must obtain at least a grade of 6C in Bahasa Melayu. The total units of these subjects, not including Bahasa Melayu, must not be more than 18 units.

PASSING REQUIREMENTS
A student must PASS all the required courses and obtain a minimum of 42 credits hours and a CGPA of at least 2.00 within the stipulated time.
ADMISSION TO DEGREE PROGRAMME
On passing the respective Foundation Programme, students will be eligible to enroll in the following degree programmes:
